Sat Nam is true identity. ‘Sat‘ meaning truth and ‘Nam‘, identity. Sat Nam is in the sacred language of Gurmukhi: ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ. Sat Nam is the mantra that is most widely used in Kundalini Yoga practice. This is a seed (Bij) mantra, and within this seed is contained all the knowledge of the fully grown tree.

General meaning: We meditate on that most adored Supreme Lord, the creator, whose effulgence (divine light) illumines all realms (physical, mental and spiritual). May this divine light illumine our intellect.
